•What made you decide to join Strength Camp SF, and what drew you to our gym?

- I first joined Strength Camp back in 2021, my goal was to get stronger and be in a better shape for basketball. I knew my conditioning was decent but always wanted to get even better. I joined this gym because of Kobe, I knew him since middle school, and it just made sense considering that he is coaching the classes.

•What were you hoping to achieve or change in your life when you first joined?

- When I first joined, I did not know what to expect, since weightlifting was a new thing for me. My main goal was to stay in shape and be healthy. Ever since coming to the gym it definitely helped me become stronger as well as helping me stay disciplined.

•Before starting at Strength Camp SF, what were your top three fitness goals?

1. Ability to jump higher

2. Better conditioning

3. Have a stronger core

•Since joining, what achievements are you most proud of, and why do they matter to you?

- I am the most proud of how much stronger I got, specifically with the 3 main lifts that we do at the gym. I wouldn’t necessarily say it matters a lot, but knowing that I can push myself to higher limits gives me a sense of accomplishment.

•What compliments or positive feedback have you received since joining Strength Camp SF?

- All the coaches at the gym are helpful in terms of providing positive feedback about my posture/form when doing an exercise. This helps because it prevents injuries and allows me to get better at my form.

•What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your journey?

- I wouldn’t say it’s my biggest challenge anymore, but starting out in the beginning was tough. Especially not knowing what the exercises are and not knowing the people around you.

•What’s your favorite thing about Strength Camp SF, and what makes it stand out from other gyms?

- I love how Strength Camp is like a small community, every class I go to all of our members are very supportive of each other. There is no judgement from the members.

•Is there anything you would change or improve about Strength Camp SF to make the experience better for you?

- I enjoyed splitting up into groups for the Wednesday classes, maybe we can implement that into the other classes for some days.

•Who do you think would benefit most from joining Strength Camp SF, and why?

- People who are afraid of stepping into the gym, Strength Camp will give them a chance to learn more about strength training at a low stake environment.

•What does “growing stronger” mean to you?

- For me it means to become the best version of yourself.
