•What made you decide to join Strength Camp SF, and what drew you to our gym?

- I decided to join Strength Camp because I wanted to learn how to be able to lift weights with proper technique as opposed to going to a conventional gym and not knowing what to do. The reviews from other members made me want to try out the gym.

•What were you hoping to achieve or change in your life when you first joined?

- I was hoping to become stronger and build endurance so I could feel more capable in everyday activities.

•Before starting at Strength Camp SF, what were your top three fitness goals?

1. Learning how to lift with proper form/technique

2. Getting into the habit of exercising consistently

3. Body recomposition

•Since joining, what achievements are you most proud of, and why do they matter to you?

- I’m proud of being able to lift more than I’ve ever thought I would be able to and being consistent when it comes to working out.

- I’m also proud of trying something out of my comfort zone and sticking to it. When I initially joined, I kept having the feeling of imposter syndrome for the first couple of months, however the coaches and members have made the experience worthwhile to continue! It’s now something I look forward to most days after work!

•What compliments or positive feedback have you received since joining Strength Camp SF?

- “You’re strong! I wish I could lift that weight!”

- “Dang, if you can’t lift that, it means it’s actually heavy and I have to ask a guy to help.”

•What has been the biggest challenge you’ve faced in your journey?

- The biggest challenge I’ve faced in my journey was getting a lower back injury in 2023 and being out of commission for 3 months. Due to this injury, I’ve had to take a step back, reassess my form, and learn to properly rest and not push myself if I already feel injured.

•What’s your favorite thing about Strength Camp SF, and what makes it stand out from other gyms?

- The culture and community. Everyone is friendly and willing to help out others.

•Is there anything you would change or improve about Strength Camp SF to make the experience better for you?

- Time of classes, bigger location, or more equipment like dumbbells especially when the classes are full.

•What does “growing stronger” mean to you?

- To me “growing stronger” means being able to overcome challenges whether it’s physically, mentally, or emotionally that you didn’t think you could before, as well as learning how to adapt and grow from any setbacks you may go through.
