- Strength Camp looked to be the best mix of full body focus and balance between building lean muscle and overall strength. Also totally balance-able for all skill levels so was great when I first started, and excellent now that I have developed some skills.
- I was hoping to improve my overall fitness. Coming in, I was gassed by the workouts. Now, I could get through a full hour on easy mode. I still get gassed, but I’m able to ramp weight and increase strength.
1. Fix my weak back
2. Increase upper body strength
3. Have a workout I could commit & stick to
- I’m most proud of being consistent. I’ve tried other workouts and I quit after a few weeks. Strength Camp has the ideal mix to keep me coming every chance I get.
- Tons of positive feedback. There was a period when my clothes didn’t fit right because I had lost too much weight. People commented on how skinny I had become. Then I put on some muscle and now everything looks right - people ask me what I’ve been doing and I’m very open!
- The biggest challenge I faced, and continue to face, is the imbalance in strength on my left and right sides. I’ve been very focused on evening this out, but focusing on the weak side is a challenge. At times, it has been discouraging and has felt like I’m moving backwards (needing to decrease weight) but as I’ve progressed, the increased strength and improved form have made a strong impact in my daily life. Mobility has increased and back pain has gone way down.
- The parking can be a pain. However, I have a system worked out. I hope they update the meters to ones that take cards.
- The coaches and community are amazing. Incredibly friendly, encouraging, and inspiring. Frequently, the best part of my day is the hour in the gym with such great people.
- Everyone would benefit. Workouts are scalable and can be intensified or modified. I’m kinda old and wish I started when I was younger, but that’s to say it’s great for aged folk.
- Growing stronger is both the physical aspects - better to try and fail (responsibly) vs failing to try - the consistency and the mental aspects. It’s also supporting and getting support from the wonderful community, pushing each other to achieve our goals!
