Assistant Coach
Being an assistant coach at Strength Camp SF for the past five months has been one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Strength Camp isn’t just a gym — it’s my family. From day one, I felt supported, welcomed, and encouraged to grow both as a coach and a person. My journey began with the Strength Camp SF internship program, which laid the foundation for everything I do today. The internship gave me hands-on experience in coaching strength and conditioning sessions, learning how to cue movements effectively, communicate clearly with clients, and understand the structure of safe and impactful workouts. I was also taught important fundamentals in anatomy, biomechanics, and exercise programming.
The mentorship I received from the coaching staff helped me build confidence and sharpen my leadership skills. During my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to coach in an environment that values strength, discipline, and community. I especially love teaching the big lifts — squat, bench press, and deadlift — and helping clients build confidence through strength. These are the lifts that changed my own life, and I enjoy passing that knowledge and passion on to others. One of my biggest goals is to keep learning, especially Olympic lifting.
Watching our experienced coaches teach these advanced techniques inspires me every day, and I’m eager to keep developing my skills in that area. This experience has given me purpose, hands-on coaching practice, and real connection with clients and teammates. I’m proud to be part of the Strength Camp SF team, and I’m excited to continue growing in this journey.
