Kobe was born in China and moved to San Francisco when he was eight years old. Growing up with his father and grandfather, both competitive athletes, Kobe started playing sports at a young age. He’s competed in badminton, basketball, Strongman, and Jiu-Jitsu. In 2017, Kobe wanted to improve his strength and athleticism, so he started focusing on fitness and strength training.

In 2019, Kobe asked Eric to help him prepare for Jiu-Jitsu competitions. Then the pandemic hit, gyms closed, and Kobe had no place to train. Eric was training for a Strongman competition in his garage and invited Kobe to join him, thus reuniting two high school friends. Eric shared his knowledge about strength training with Kobe.

Kobe was inspired by Eric’s dream to open a gym and help the community “Become Stronger Versions of Themselves.” Kobe wanted to improve not only himself, but also have a positive impact on others. He was excited about the gym and helped Eric build Strength Camp SF from the ground up.

Kobe’s goal is to become a better and stronger athlete through proper training methods and techniques, and also develop into a more effective and knowledgeable coach and personal trainer.

Working at Strength Camp SF has been the perfect opportunity for Kobe to align his passion for training and competition with his career goals and aspirations. He hopes to share his knowledge and inspire others to live an active and balanced lifestyle.
