Phil Koranteng

Phil was born in Northern Virginia and moved to the Bay Area in 2020. He is a first-generation Ghanaian-American. Growing up, he competed in many sports including soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and track and field.

From a young age, he has always been drawn to fitness, understanding how bodies move, and how athletes of various body types can train for optimal athletic performance. Phil’s interest in sports and science led him to obtain his B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering while competing in indoor and outdoor track and field.

Phil’s main event in college was the 110m high hurdles because he loved the technical nature of the event. After college and throughout law school, Phil continued to seek out athletic opportunities such as group fitness classes, intramural sports and club track and field.

Phil’s goal is to become a better athlete through consistent training and disciplined habits, to age gracefully, and someday compete as a Master’s track and field athlete!

Phil always looked forward to training with everyone and getting a break from his day job as a Patent Attorney. He decided to take his passion for fitness a step further and complete his group fitness certification.

Now, as a coach at Strength Camp, Phil loves working with his fellow coaches and friends to grow the gym and help every client become the strongest version of themselves!
