Eric was born and raised in the SF Bay Area and has been playing sports since his youth. He competed in Taekwondo,Track and Field, High School Football, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Dragon Boat Paddling, and Strongman. As a freshman at Galileo High School Eric focused on improving his sports performance by lifting weights, which started an obsession to learn everything possible about how to gain strength and build muscle.

Eric studied physiology and exercise science at U.C. Davis with plans to obtain a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During and after graduating college, he coached at various gyms and provided personal training to a variety of people, including college professors, track athletes, parents, couples, and people with injuries. That’s when he discovered his passion for helping people grow stronger via strength training. Through his studies and experience, Eric developed his knowledge and understanding of human anatomy and physiology, while developing skills in personal training and group coaching.

Eric moved back to SF and discovered that none of the local gyms offered group strength training programs. In 2019 Eric decided to change his career and open a gym to provide a comprehensive strength training program for the local community. Towards the end of 2019 Eric was renting gym space on the weekends to train Strength Camp members. When the pandemic hit in March 2020 and gyms closed, Eric immediately provided outdoor workouts at Gellert Park.

In July 2020 Eric signed the lease for Strength Camp SF in Daly City. He and Kobe devoted a great deal of time and sweat equity to build the space. In November Eric opened the gym doors to provide strength training for the community. Eric’s mission is to “Become the Strongest Version of Himself,” and empower and inspire others to do the same.
